New Angle Media Earns Two Marketing Awards from Global Corporation

Firm Honored for Development of Virtual Trade Show and Enterprise-Level Video Portal

Each year, Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT) honors its top marketing and communication professionals with Avnet MAC (Marketing and Communications) Awards.  Judged by an independent committee of academics and business professionals, the Avnet MAC Awards honor the company’s most creative and effective marketing and communication materials.

Two projects developed by New Angle Media were honored this year: Avnet OnDemand and the Avnet Embedded Virtual Trade Show.

• Avnet OnDemand is the first enterprise-level video portal that connects like-minded professionals worldwide in the tech industry. It’s similar to YouTube, yet users can track their ROI. It’s ideal for product announcements, specifications, demonstrations, tutorials and training videos. Avnet OnDemand provides B2B marketers in the worldwide Avnet community with a home base to post existing videos and revitalize stagnant campaigns, or shoot new videos to promote to a highly targeted network. • The Avnet Embedded Virtual Trade Show spotlights embedded solutions for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), independent software vendors (ISVs), system builders and system integrators in North America. This interactive, online venue provides customers with the opportunity to gather information about products and services from leading embedded suppliers, just as they would at a traditional trade show. However, unlike a traditional trade show, this venue offers open access at any time of the day or night, eliminating the need for costly travel.

Avnet has 12,000 employees at more than 300 locations. Projects that receive MAC Awards represent the best of the organization’s marketing and communication efforts worldwide.
